Jan Henderson is a senior communications consultant with extensive writing, editing and website development experience. She is a longstanding, accredited member of the Canadian Public Relations Society and has served on their Board of Directors as well as several committees. Over the course of her career, Jan's writing ability and communications strategies have been recognized by several awards, including the World Oil Award, the Town Crier Award, the American Master's of Marketing Award, the IABC Silver Leaf and several National Journalism Awards. Jan specializes in energy-related communications. As a member of the multi-faceted team who fostered the development of the Canadian Centre for Energy Information, Jan managed editorial content for the web portal and numerous publications. Judi Gunter APR has 30 years' experience in communications, including print journalism, private and public sector communications and independent consulting. After working as a reporter for a major newspaper, Judi chose to enter public relations in the early 70s. Subsequently, her experience has included public affairs work with the Manitoba government, cultural institutions and, since 1987, public relations consulting with a broad range of clients in both the public and private sectors. As a consultant, Judi's forte is strategic planning, particularly working with staff or volunteer committees to develop practical public relations and communications programs in support of their organizations' goals. Sheridan McVean has more than 25 years of experience in public relations, government relations and marketing in western Canada. He provides public affairs/government relations, media relations, and crisis communications as well as mentoring and training for students and seasoned business managers. He recently developed and taught an inaugural course in Government Relations for the University of Calgary's PR Certificate Program and previously taught at Mount Royal College and SAIT Polytechnic. Sheridan earned his APR professional accreditation and has completed the requirements to maintain the professional standing until 2012.
