CPRS Calgary Mentorship Program 2017/2018

The CPRS Calgary - Education & Students Committee invites you to participate in our 2017/2018 mentorship program.

This program will provide an amazing opportunity for students to connect and engage with esteemed public relations practitioners as well as help them navigate their future careers.

What’s in it for you as a mentor?

  • Receive accreditation maintenance points (worth one maintenance point/year)
  • Learn more about new technologies/strategies from graduating students
  • Give back to the profession/share your experience with up-and-coming practitioners

Of course, we can’t forget the table stakes – the mentorship program prides itself in being a platform for mentors to immerse themselves in projects, mentoring, skill-building that is both professionally and academically related, resume building, and interview guidance.

What’s the time commitment? How much time you and your mentee decide to commit to the project is completely up to you; however, there is a minimum requirement that is set out in the initial mentorship agreement. The minimum requirement entails one face-to-face meeting per month and at least one phone call and/or email each month from both parties. There will also be two networking events throughout the term and a few checkpoint meetings with the mentorship coordinator.

If this sounds like an opportunity that you would be interested in, please send your contact information before September 30, to:
